The menu at Elijah's is a treasure trove of flavors. The Mexican Omelette is a standout dish that has garnered rave reviews—Quinton Vader Taylor’s enthusiasm is infectious as he describes the "down-right perfect" ratio of chorizo, peppers, and potatoes. It’s a bold dish that starts your day with a kick! The corned beef Reuben is another highlight, perfectly accompanied by crispy onion rings—just as Jo W. attests. Every bite showcases their dedication to delivering fresh and delicious food.
Elijah's isn’t just about food; it’s about making memories. Sophie's experience using their banquet room for a Volunteer Appreciation event speaks volumes about their versatility. I always go here with my group of guys and they handle a large group easily and keep our orders straight. The food doesn't take forever to arrive either, they're very attentive, make sure the water and coffee are always filled, enough creamer/milk is available, etc
The chef needs to be cloned. Wowzers...I went on a limb and thought Mexican omelette how good could it be at a deli type restaurant? The chorizo pepper and potatoes ratio was down right perfect. Great way to start my day for sure. Not a big fan of the salsa that came with it. My opinion is that it would’ve ruined the kick from the chorizo and avocado sauce. Not gonna lie, I ordered a second on just to make sure it wasn’t a lucky batch. If you’re ever in the area try the Mexican Omelette and let me know your thoughts.
Highly recommend. Plenty of seating, a relaxed atmosphere, friendly and attentive servers, and THE FOOD. The corned beef Reuben was legit, and I could eat those onion rings for days. Also, the coffee was decent
It's hard to decide what to eat here; everything's good! We ordered chicken Caesar salad, Empire State tall sandwich and a plate of lox & bagel. Great friendly service.
We used the banquet room for our Volunteer Appreciation event. Arranging everything was so easy with the help of Alex and his team. The banquet room was great for our small group of 18, but could also accommodate a much larger group. They even have a projector set up for a slideshow.
If you haven't tried this place, go now! I tried the cabbage rolls because haven't had them since I was young when my mom made them. I had the garlic mashed potatoes and vegetables with them. The food was awesome! They make their bread and desserts. Delicious food and the tea actually tasted like tea and not colored water. They also have outside seating.
I had the tastiest Pastrami Reuben Sandwich here today. I loved that the high-quality pastrami was on the lean side and had great flavor, perhaps a little light on the black pepper but that's OK. Quite 'messy' so I used a knife and fork. The rye bread was buttery and crunchy too. Will definitely return here again for this treat. It wasn't a deal breaker but the cole slaw was absolutely flavorless (except for cabbage flavor) but it also wasn't sweet which is a good thing. I also could have chosen potato salad or pasta salad as a side. The staff was very professional and courteous. I found all the right Covid-19 protocols in place. There is indoor and outdoor dining available now. They're keeping their pastries in the kitchen now with just a small display out front so you can see what they have. I tried a couple tiny Prune Hamantaschen. These didn't have much flavor compared with the ones I've enjoyed in New York. I'll probably try something else next time but the five stars is for the sandwich, reasonable prices and the staff.
Recently discovered this place trying to find a decent place that serves sandwiches in the area. These guys have a great selection of Russian style kosher deli sandwiches that are absolutely the best. All the servers are super appropriate, friendly, and attentive. They do have a bar here so you can grab a beer while you wait for your food. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a decent brunch or sandwiches. My family loves all of their entrees as well.
